VESTAL & VIRILE 🌙 Virgo New Moon

On New Moons release the past, any habits, conditioning, thoughts, beliefs that aren’t authentic or no longer serve you. At this time the Moon and Sun are united at the exact same degree in the sky, merging both conscious and unconscious aspects of our mind. Energy is bought into a contemplative, reflective and quiet mood.

This makes rich soil for hacking your inner/higher self/subconscious. Get that 95% of your brain on board for future goal setting and planning.
Write down what you are releasing, then burn them as you visualise and feel yourself let go with love and gratitude for how they have served you up until now.

New Moons are about Manifesting, so next plant the seeds of intention you want to sew, then water them with action. Write up to 10 intentions or affirmations to bring into your life over the next six months, by the Full Moon in VIRGO. This is when the Sun & Moon are opposite each other facing off in polarity.

To take it a step further draw or make a vision board for your plans, make sure you add a fruition date. Add potency by fuelling your vision with strong emotions, work in the positive rather than from a place of lack, fear etc. Seeds you sew in the mix will most likely germinate so make sure you cultivate exactly what you want.

Focus on areas and approaches that VIRGO rules, such as:

  • Making order from chaos
    Organising
    Health
Minds affect on the body/bodies affect on the mind
    Digestion
Assimilation of ideas, experience and nutrients
    Daily routine and ritual
    Inner sanctum
    Self sufficiency
    Service
    Cleanliness
    Perfection

Eg;

  • I easily turn chaos into constructive order in my life
I easily appreciate what’s working well in my world
I am so grateful for all the gifts that I have and receive that more continue to come my way
I easily see and embrace opportunity as it presents
I easily focus my energy and attention on what’s most practical and useful
I bring dedicated practical effort, efficiency, routine and order to every area of my life
I easily establish and maintain healthy daily nutritional and fitness habits.
I easily find myself in the present moment, using it to make my dreams a reality
I easily find myself asserting healthy boundaries in a way others hear and respect

Earth sign Virgo knows the devil’s in the details, efficiency, exacting focus and practical day to day steps that keep the show on the road.  Following Leos show pony self expression party it’s time to clean up and take stock. Prep for the next sign of Libra.  Have our own backyards ready to meet in equal partnership. Are you up to speed?

This New Moon is in an awkward 3 way (T-square) with terse task master Saturn (square) and wounded healer Chiron. Themes of doing the work and facing the responsibilities it takes to expand our empire, while facing our more sensitised wounds abound. Virgos strength is in analytical and practical service. Survey the field, draw up your game plan and dig in. Get your hands dirty and get the job done.

In my own life I’ve had so much change, in all 3 major areas of life. I’ve realised that the most problem and pain has come from attachment to ideas based on other people or externally rather than being in the power I have to take my own reality toward my vision. All we have is now and where we’re at, with what we’ve got, so start here now. I’ve also realised that expanding out of a comfort zone, is, well, uncomfortable. Keep at it and you’ll grow into a new fit or stay and stagnate. Square aspects demand we push through the crusted bitumen of familiar experience into the next phase of our growth cycle. So push and keep pushing, prodding, plodding and plowing. Once you pick up speed you’ll be like a locomotive, no stopping you!

Only you can bring your unique take to what ever you apply yourself. Seek inside for what you truely want to bring into the manifest world. Be at cause not effect. Virgo is about self referencing the inner sanctum, hence the Vestal Virgin tag. Unbalanced

Virgo seeks external validation, however this leads to chaos with eruptions ensuing to get us back to order and step one, self referencing.

Do the work, get the job done.

In love & service,
Vanessa Montgomery

BUNNY BOILER : Easter & the Spring/Autumn Equinox

Like many religious dates Easter is no exception in that it has been with us longer than the 2000 year old Christian religion, pre-dating Christ into Pagan eras and beyond, right back to Babylonian times if not Sumerian.
In the Northern Hemisphere Easter coincides with the Spring Equinox, harbinger of new life. In fact it was a fertility festival aligned with fertility goddesses of the given culture celebrating. Nature has gone through the long cold nights of winter and now the days are equal to the nights, with the light about to exceed the dark with the Spring, on into the abundance of Summer.

In Astrology this energy is associated with Aries. Since Aries is the first sign of the zodiac it begins the solar year along with the Spring which is the beginning of our seasonal year. Aries is also the first of the fire signs, initiating the blast of energy and fearlessness it takes to get new life started.

In the Southern Hemisphere our western culture has brought with us the modern day version of this tradition, celebrating it at the same time as our ancestors. However at this time nature withdraws its energies in readiness for the longer darker days of winter. For those of us in the Southern Hemisphere it’s the Autumn Equinox which is associated with the rights, rituals and meaning of Halloween and the Pagan festival Mabon.

Our cycle of nature is exactly opposite the traditions we observe as if we were still living them. In parts of the world along the Equator, including Australia we have only the wet and dry season, hot and dry, and hotter and wet. These cyclic observances are completely devoid of practical meaning, a relic of a past culture that we are still identified with, rather than a new one that reflects and celebrates the reality of living in those areas.

So let’s enjoy our mini holiday season and chocolate egg hunts but let’s also connect with what’s really happening with our natural cycles and bring celebration in line with that to help us tune in and appreciate our natural surroundings.
